Ian is a long time customer from Stoke Plymouth. The key to early success for his lawn was a process called scarification, but what exactly is it?
Scarification is the mechanical removal of surface thatch from a lawn. Surface thatch naturally forms on a lawn. However, if it gets too thick it prevents important nutrients such as water, fertiliser, and oxygen from getting to the grassroots.
The scarification was many lawn treatments ago. It was the start of work that led up to the subsequent sale of the property.
Ian was kind enough to say:
Michael cared for the lawns with regular treatment of feed, weed and pest control, he also periodically both Scarification and aeriated the lawns. Additionally to that work, Michael would carry out pruning and hedge trimming once or twice a year. In summary, I was completely satisfied with all the work Michael carried out for me and would summerise his character and service as friendly, knowledgeable, hard-working and completely honest. My father would have awarded him the accolade of one of nature’s gentlemen – I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone.
I can only add Ian was great to work for, and I was completely bowled over to receive the above testimonial.
